Recently on Chess.com, IM Bryan Smith wrote “How the Ending Slips Away”, analyzing an ending between masters Frank Marshall and Siegbert Tarrasch. The initial position is a dead equal rook and pawn ending, but White miraculously manages to make inaccuracy after inaccuracy, falling into passivity, and then defeat. Note to all: study your endgames!
